We were asked to create Wild West team games by Johnson & Johnson in the Scottish National Equestrian Centre in Edinburgh on the 8th September this year.
We visited the very large venue and decided to use 1/3 of the arena – blocking the area off with Wild West backdrops etc. We had 3 sessions of about 150 people in each. We arranged 8 activities: How to build a chuck wagon and a tepee, lassoing a cactus, rifle range, horseshoe throwing, fastest draw, the best line dance team and a rodeo bull. The guests were put into 8 teams and given 10 minutes per game, which was scored and a total given in each game. We had a winning team in each session.
The event was a complete surprise to the staff until they left their coaches. We created a pathway with horse jumps etc – they thought they would be show jumping. They rounded the end of our partition, were met at the bar and were given instructions. We had many thank yous as they left. It was completely different to the boat ride they had the year before.
We made a Wild West theme in Battersea Park for the charity with games and entertainment in July this year. It was an early start – 8.00am and a 5.00pm finish. We had well over 2,000 people taking part in the walk and lots of supporters enjoying the ambience. We have been asked to provide a pirate theme for the walk next year together with entertainment for their Moon Walks in Hyde Park and Edinburgh. We had some lovely comments on the event and are looking forward to next year’s.
We were invited back to organise another party for Waitrose; they enjoyed a good 3-course meal with drinks then activities. We provided a Scalextric track, motorbike and car simulators, together with poker and roulette casino tables. As the majority of guests were men, being competitive, it went down very well. We provided 1 week later at Reading Football Club a different style of entertainment. We dressed the main room with plush fabric on the walls and star cloths to create an opulent feel to the room.
We changed the bar area in 1½ hours during dinner to a Western saloon with entrance doors including a rodeo bull and quick draw machine. We also supplied a disco and casino tables, Wii games and a very large Scalextric track. The guests could not believe how quickly we had transformed the bar area with full decorations and games. We had lots of great comments and good feedback.
“Well, what can i say!! I couldn’t have done it with you!!! (and obviously your fab, professional team). The thank yous have come pouring in. Your patience, flexibility, and personal touch were invaluable and the end result was amazing. The props were really authentic and eye catching and the entertainment was such great fun.
Everyone had a fabulous time and didn’t know what you have a go on first! Thank you once again for a very slick service and wonderful outcome. We will try out hardest to create some more themed events just to have an excuse to work with you all again in the future!!!”

We have been invited back to provide theming and entertainment again this year. Last year we gave the people a Wild West event with plenty of games and music to entertain in the evening.
This year we are going off site to a restaurant where we will create a pirate theme with shacks, backdrops, palm trees etc, and of course games – a large roly poly, fast draw pirate, galleon rifle range, and a pirate DJ and magician.
It was great to be asked back again.
We met the client in the middle of Upton Court Park, Slough to discuss their ideas and design. We decided on a Wild West area with ranch fencing and an entrance sign for the guests to walk through to enclose the area of the park. We provided a Western bar and backdrop in our marquee with saloon doors and Western buildings to form a street, and games: a rodeo bull, lassoing cacti and a cork rifle range – all manned by our themed operators. Flags and bunting added colour to the event together with a Country DJ.
The client organised a team game similar to dodge ball but with brooms which was entertaining. We had some very positive feedback for this event and look forward to working with them in the near future.
